Are you an experienced Pastry Chef looking for an exciting new challenge? The Hotel Folk are currently looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join their friendly kitchen team at their award-winning AA-rosetted Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa.

Main responsibilities:

  • Preparing specific food items and meal components at your station such as Afternoon Teas, Specialty Cakes, Signature Afternoon Teas.
  • Following directions provided by the head chef.
  • Collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service.
  • Keeping your area of the kitchen safe and sanitary.
  • Stocktaking and ordering supplies for your station.
  • Supervising all pastry service throughout the property.
  • Ensuring standards of cuisine and hygiene are maintained.
  • Standardizing and communicating pastry and bakery recipes to personnel.
  • Preparing breads and pastries, including doughs, fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating.
  • Reviewing production sheets to understand the variety of baked goods to be produced daily.
