Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Hours will be variable according to business needs including weekends.
The Hotel Folk are looking for a friendly Golf Pro-Shop Assistant to work at Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel to assist and support the Golf Professionals and other members of the Golf Department in providing a good service to members, hotel guests and visitors.
Key Tasks:
- Take bookings and organise tee-times to maximise use of the course by members, hotel guests and visitors ensuring that the tee-time guidelines are adhered to.
- Ensure appropriate green fees are paid by visitors and members’ guests.
- Promote membership of the golf club, have a good knowledge of the membership options available, take membership forms and answer questions from potential members.
- Managing services bookings such as buggies and electric trollies.
- Responsible for opening and closing the shop as required, setting the alarm system and following all security procedures.
- Assist customers with making shop purchases.
- Ensure the shop and stock are clean and tidy at all times.
- Assist with on course duties such as marshalling, manning the halfway hut and managing the 1st tee on busy days.
- Cleaning of hire services such as buggies, electric trollies and clubs.
- Cash-up at the end of each day, completing the required forms by reception and ensuring that reception is satisfied that the cash-up is accurate.
- Assist the Golf Operations Manager and his deputy where possible with membership administration.
- Be aware of the Companies’ Health & Safety Policy and Fire Safety procedures.
