General responsibilities can include:
- Ensure that room set ups and break downs for all events are carried out to company standards
- Deal with customers in a prompt and professional manner
- Address any complaints effectively
- Deliver staff briefings for events
- Ensure the security of the premises, stock, and cash, following the company cash handling procedures
- Record open and close stock counts, monitoring levels of stock and liaising with the cellar team
- Follow the management pack to log any wastage or report incidents
- Responsible for use of tills and PDQs
- First point of call for dealing with issues on the day and liaising with the area manager
The successful Bar Supervisor / Manager will have the following:
- Previous experience in Bar / Retail / Catering Events in a Supervisor / Manager capacity
- The ability to empower and lead a team
- Ability to build relationships and promote a positive work environment
- Ability to identify strong team members and recommend upskilling
