Would you like to join London’s leading nursing team? We are looking for an Orthopaedic CNS to join our team in providing specialized care to a variety of orthopaedic surgical specialties.
The successful applicant will have been working in a similar environment and will be up to date in current practices. Experience will extend to working within busy wards and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar post.
Located in leafy St John’s Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St John’s.
Responsibilities:
- To work as an advanced practitioner, effectively delivering an expert nursing service within the orthopaedic specialist area.
- To work closely with the Orthopaedic Consultants and ensure that there is effective coordination of the patient surgical pathway from pre-assessment to surgery including development of integrated care pathways and procedure specific protocols based on current evidence-based standards.
- To establish clear lines of communication within the multi-disciplinary team and ensure cohesive multidisciplinary management of patients.
- Deliver educational programmes for patients, carers, nurses and other allied professionals.
- To provide a contact point for advice for orthopaedic patients throughout their hospital journey.
- To provide support in maintaining compliance to the National Joint Registry (NJR).
