Job Information: This exciting role in our award-winning External Affairs department will work across policy and public affairs work in England. You will fight for the hospice sector and people who need their support, helping us to create a country where no one misses out on the care they need at the end of their lives.

This is a significant time for hospice and end of life care. Hospices across the UK are facing their worst financial situation in 20 years, with funding pressures causing service reductions and redundancies.

Our campaigning efforts have recently led to £125m in short term funding for the hospice sector and a commitment to a Modern Service Framework for palliative care and end of life care, with focus in Parliament and health planning. There is momentum around palliative care and hospices, creating opportunities to influence policy and political agendas.

We have strong influence in Parliament and significant interest among policymakers in hospice care. We are an important voice in discussions around Assisted Dying, which will impact palliative and end of life care. With this momentum, we seek a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to help shape the future of care.

We are looking for a proactive and driven policy and public affairs professional who is curious about improving people's experiences of death, dying and bereavement, and strengthening the hospice sector's contribution. You will have excellent influencing and communication skills, sharp instincts to analyse external developments, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build coalitions to maximise impact. You will provide leadership but be willing to pitch in at all levels to get things done. Strong project management will help you allocate resources effectively and delegate tasks where needed.

This is your chance to play a key role in creating a country where no one misses out on the care they need at the end of their lives.
