Main duties of the job:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the in-patient unit team and wider clinical services.
- Communicate professionally and sensitively with patients, families, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all enquiries, including telephone calls, emails, web enquiries and electronic patient record tasks.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining stock levels for clinical and administrative supplies.
- Plan and prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Provide support to volunteers working within the clinical teams.
- This role includes participation in a supportive 7-day rota covering some weekends and bank holidays.

- Proven administrative experience, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of using IT systems, including electronic record management systems.
- Ability to work methodically, prioritise workload and manage competing demands.
- Strong written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and external partners.
- Clear understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance.
- Resilient and compassionate, with the ability to manage exposure to sensitive or distressing information.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £16,320 p.a. (based on FTE £25,500) plus enhancements.
