We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Chef de Partie to join our new opening, The Horses! Opening in September 2026, The Horses will bring a fresh hospitality offering to Farringdon. Set within a building that has long been part of the local community, the venue will combine a pub atmosphere with exceptional dining, quality drinks, and attentive service across multiple floors. We are building a team that prides itself on delivering authentic hospitality, who are collaborative and create a genuinely warm, welcoming environment for every guest. This is an opportunity to join a new opening and help shape the venue from day one, becoming part of a business that values quality, teamwork, and a shared passion for great service.

Salary – Base salary £36,000 per annum + service charge (Circa £12,000 per annum)

What you'll be doing as a Senior Chef de Partie:

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality rustic Italian dishes, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
  • Work across different sections of the kitchen, supporting the smooth running of service.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in your section.
  • Assist with stock control and ensure all food is stored, labelled, and rotated according to food safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate, train and lead other team members.
  • Contribute to the development of new dishes and seasonal menus.
  • Maintain excellent communication with the kitchen team to ensure an efficient, positive working environment.

About you, our new Senior Chef de Partie:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Chef de Partie in a high quality, fast‑paced kitchen.
  • A passion for sustainability, seasonality and innovative cooking techniques.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • The ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional results during a busy service.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • A desire to learn and progress within the industry.
  • Flexible approach to work.
