Hours: 35 hour working week including paid break = 40 hours paid contract any 5 days in 7

Post Objectives
To provide excellent food and beverage service to all members and guests in the Restaurant and Bar and across the Inn, to the highest possible standards.
Main Duties
- To greet members and their guests, contributing to a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
- To lead by example to ensure that all customers and employees are treated with dignity and respect.
- To provide a prompt service of food and beverages to the highest standards of customer service, ensuring a thorough knowledge of the food and drinks menu items.
- Taking food and beverages orders from customers and serving it as requested, paying attention to detail, satisfying customers’ requests in a timely manner and making food and drinks recommendations as per guests’ preferences.
- Competently advising customers on the menu while paying attention to present allergens.
- Tables, bar and terrace service stations mise-en-place.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the MCR bar and service area, maintaining agreed standards of care, hygiene and cleanliness following cleaning schedules.
- To be responsible for presenting, collecting bills and ensuring that payments are charged correctly.
- A confident team player, you will communicate positively, both with customers and colleagues.
- To demonstrate flexibility and ability to work shifts.
Occasional Duties
- To attend training courses and departmental meetings as required.
- Undertake other duties, within reasonable request of management.
Person Specification
Skills, knowledge & attitude required:
- You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the catering industry and have at least one year of previous experience in a restaurant environment.
- You will be flexible in your approach to work and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Be able to bring a fresh approach to daily routines.
- You will demonstrate honesty and integrity in everything you do.
- You will approach the job with enthusiasm and be positive and helpful.
