The Peninsula London is excited to announce we are seeking an Assistant Manager for The Lobby Restaurant. This role will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to provide leadership to the team along with ensuring an exceptional culinary and theatrical experience to our guests.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest service, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
  • Handling, or relaying to Lobby Director or Assistant Director F&B, all guest and internal customer complaints, and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Understanding and accurately following the standard of sequence of service, pre-service and after-service procedures.
  • Ensuring the highest level of Health and Safety and Hygiene are maintained, reporting employee and guest accidents, and responding properly to any hotel emergency.
  • Establishing and maintaining outstanding colleague interactions with exceptional working relationships.

General requirements

  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a Luxury Food & Beverage Outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or standalone) associated with relevant qualifications.
  • Prior experience in a Michelin star restaurant would be advantageous.
  • All-encompassing food and beverage knowledge.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, highly adaptable, naturally positive.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency; expertise in a second language would be desirable.
