We’re looking for someone with experience in any of a wide range of trades, including:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Painting
- Locksmithing
- HVAC
In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Manager who will set your schedule and assign work orders. You’ll be responsible for organizing and directing all activities related to the maintenance and repair of our Plymouth-area site buildings and other apartments when occasionally needed, including our Southeast Campus property grounds, vehicles, and other equipment. The Home will provide a truck/van for you to get between sites where you\’ll make minor repairs and help with the upkeep of the buildings. You\’ll be a part of an on-call rotation with other staff, and will be expected to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local code requirements, and always maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the building trades
- Demonstrated experience with all phases of building management, including knowledge of electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Able to read, understand and work from drawings, schematics, service manuals and other materials pertaining to facility maintenance, equipment, systems and repair
- Must possess a valid MA driver’s license; MA tradesmen licenses desirable
- Able to work independently with only moderate supervision
- Willingness and capability to respond to site emergencies during off-duty hours
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications

Physical Requirements
Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and operate objects, tools and controls commonly used in the construction and maintenance trades. Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor, such as frequent lifting and carrying of supplies, equipment and tools, as well as pushing and pulling objects. Duties require frequent standing, walking, climbing, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Involves the regular use of ladders, lifts and scaffolding. Exposure to outside work performed under varying weather conditions; occasional exposure to fumes and dust type particles.
