They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns, and providing escalation for customer issues. They also assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including new Cashiers, using available tools for development.
