The Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park is perfectly situated for an easy commute, located just off the A1 / A19 Seaton Burn roundabout. While our hotel is surrounded by 16 acres of peaceful countryside, we are highly accessible from across the region. The hotel features 151 bedrooms, 11 meeting rooms, a Restaurant, Bar, and Leisure Club.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that a wide range of carefully designed dishes are prepared, presented and delivered with pride and precision.
- Support with the delivery of high quality food in all outlets.
- Provide food for all occasions, including breakout options for those attending meetings and banqueting events.
- Contribute to the overall commercial performance of the business whilst delivering excellent Guest and Team Member experiences.
- Follow standardised processes designed to ensure an efficient delivery of high quality centralised menus.
- Ensure the delivery of high quality, consistently presented menu items.
- Manage food cost controls that are set by Head Chef.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety requirements.
- Track, monitor and minimise waste.
- Ensure a focus on sustainability targets.
What are we looking for? (Essential Experience/ Qualifications)
- Previous line chef or kitchen assistant experience.
- The ability to adapt and make changes quickly ensuring the highest standards are retained.
- Relevant food preparation qualification - Hospitality & Catering Level 2 (or equivalent).
- Qualification in food safety and a track record in managing all aspects of food safety.
