35 hours per week (100% FTE), regular weekend working | c. £28,000–£32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in delivering weddings, corporate functions and special events across one of the South East’s most unique and prestigious heritage venues.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and customer‑focused Weddings and Events Manager to oversee the delivery of weddings, private functions, corporate events and hospitality activities across The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Hospitality Sales Team, you will ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard, providing exceptional service from initial handover through to successful event completion. The role requires strong leadership, pride in our beautiful event spaces, attention to detail and a hands‑on approach.

About You

You will have proven experience delivering high‑quality events, weddings, hospitality or venue operations, with a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence. You will be confident leading teams, coordinating multiple and dynamic priorities and maintaining calm professionalism in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills, a practical, hands‑on approach, and strong commercial awareness are required.
