FTC - 4 months Part Time - 2/2.5 days per week

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Adviser to support the delivery of health, safety and fire compliance within a complex operational environment. The successful candidate will act as the organisations Competent Person under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice on health, safety and fire compliance.
  • Maintain and review health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Support managers in implementing safe systems of work.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations, including reporting under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 where required.
  • Maintain the organisations health and safety risk register and compliance reporting.
  • Support fire safety arrangements in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Provide guidance on contractor management, events and refurbishments.
