We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Learning to join the Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of alternative provision across West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about inclusive education, SEND, SEMH provision, and improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.

The Role

  • You will provide strategic leadership across WSAPCs curriculum offer, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil achievement across all provisions.
  • Working closely with the Executive Headteacher and Heads of School, you will:
    • Lead curriculum development and quality of education across the college
    • Drive school improvement, inclusion, and staff development
    • Support and challenge senior and middle leaders to achieve outstanding outcomes
    • Promote trauma-informed, relational, and inclusive practice across all settings
    • Oversee pupil progress, attendance, behaviour, and engagement strategies
    • Develop innovative and accessible curriculum pathways, including vocational provision
    • Work collaboratively with schools, external agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams
