Temporary Teaching Assistants We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring Temporary Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school environment. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have previous experience working with children and young people with additional needs and who are confident supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication, behavioural and emotional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants or individuals with relevant experience working with children with additional needs who are looking for temporary work. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help provide a positive, safe and engaging learning environment for pupils. Monday to Friday Temporary assignments available On-site parking available As a Temporary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include: Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom and across the school. Supporting pupils with communication, learning, behavioural and emotional needs. Helping pupils remain engaged and focused on activities. Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills. Supporting pupils with their day-to-day needs where appropriate. Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all pupils. Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are: Experienced in working with children or young people with additional needs. Confident supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis. Able to adapt their approach to meet individual pupil needs. Flexible and able to respond positively to changing situations. Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their potential. Previous experience in a school, specialist education or similar setting is highly desirable. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, autism, communication needs, behavioural needs or complex learning needs would be particularly valuable. As this role involves working directly with children, all applicants must be able to meet the required safeguarding and safer recruitment checks. An Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with children. Any other checks required as part of the school's safer recruitment procedures.
