We are currently looking for an experienced Glue Minder to join our client, a high-quality carton packaging manufacturer operating at the premium end of the market. This is a key machine-operating role within a busy print and packaging production environment.
The Role
As a Glue Minder, you will be responsible for operating and managing folder-gluer and carton gluing machinery, producing high-quality finished cartons for luxury and branded products such as cosmetics, spirits, and consumer goods. You will play a vital role in ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate folder-gluer and gluing machines for a range of carton styles
- Make ready machines for production runs, ensuring correct glue application and accurate folding
- Monitor output to maintain quality standards, minimising waste and rejects
- Carry out basic maintenance and fault-finding to keep machinery running smoothly
- Accurately record production and quality data
- Lead, support, or train operators on the gluing line as required
- Work in line with health & safety procedures and quality standards, including BRC Packaging
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating gluing or folder-gluer machinery in a packaging or print environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Organised, reliable, and able to work under production deadlines
- Experience working to food-grade or premium packaging standards is an advantage
- Comfortable working shifts and as part of a production team
