Cambridge & Surrounding Areas\\n\\nA great opportunity has opened for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering and maintenance team. This role is based out of the Cambridge office and primarily covers Cambridgeshire, with additional travel across Essex, parts of London and Kent when required.\\n\\nThis position suits a qualified, dependable engineer who is confident working across commercial and industrial sites while representing the business in a professional manner.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across a range of sites.\\n\\n * Perform electrical fault-finding, repairs and safety-critical work to minimise downtime.\\n\\n * Install, modify and commission electrical systems and wiring in line with current regulations.\\n\\n * Conduct electrical inspection and testing, producing accurate certification and compliance reports.\\n\\n * Maintain detailed documentation including maintenance logs, test results and statutory records.\\n\\n * Ensure all work fully complies with BS7671 and relevant Health & Safety legislation.\\n\\n * Support site upgrades, small projects and ongoing improvement initiatives.\\n\\n * Work collaboratively with engineering colleagues to enhance system reliability.\\n\\n * Participate in an on-call rota, providing emergency response when required.\\n\\nSkills & Experience Required\\n\\n * Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) – JIB Approved Electrician grade.\\n\\n * City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).\\n\\n * Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g., C&G 2391 or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.\\n\\n * Proven experience within industrial, commercial, or facilities-based electrical maintenance.\\n\\n * Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\\n\\n * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.\\n\\n * Solid understanding of Health & Safety and safe electrical working practices.\\n\\n * Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.\\n\\nWhat You’ll Receive\\n\\n * Company vehicle (e.g., Transit Custom) – work use only.\\n\\n * Fuel card provided.\\n\\n * 24 days annual leave + bank holidays.\\n\\n * Company pension scheme.\\n\\n * Uniform and full PPE provided.\\n\\n * Travel time not paid door-to-door, but discretionary travel payments available.\\n\\n * Inclusion in the on-call rota (approx. 1 in 6 weeks) with a Β£140/week retainer.\\n\\nPlease apply with your up to date CV.\\n\\nWe endeavour to reply to every candidate, every time but if you haven’t heard back within 10 days, please understand that you have unfortunately been unsuccessful for this position, or the position has been filled.
