Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Plumbing Bias) – Cambridge\\nA great permanent opportunity has arisen for a practical and detail-focused Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong plumbing background for our client based in Cambridge. The role involves delivering mechanical PPM across a range of buildings on one site, along with reactive maintenance and compliance support.\\nKey Responsibilities\\n• Deliver planned mechanical and HVAC maintenance across multiple buildings\\n• Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance tasks as they occur\\n• Support statutory compliance activities where trained, such as emergency lighting checks and fire damper inspections\\n• Ensure all tasks are completed in line with current health and safety legislation and internal procedures\\nEssential Skills and Experience\\n• Previous experience as a site-based engineer within a large, multi-building environment\\n• Strong plumbing background with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent\\n• Experience maintaining HVAC systems\\n• Proven track record in delivering compliance maintenance within commercial or public buildings\\n• Good understanding of Legionella control requirements, ACOP L8 and water hygiene best practice\\n• Ability to produce clear, accurate compliance documentation\\n• Confidence using handheld devices or CAFM systems\\n• Full UK driving licence\\nDesirable\\n• WRAS approval\\n• Gas Safe registration\\n• Legionella Awareness Training (City & Guilds or equivalent)\\n• Experience with TMV maintenance, dead-leg identification and water sampling\\n• CSCS or similar site safety card\\nBenefits\\n• Mobile phone and tablet provided\\n• 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays\\nThis role offers the chance to join an established and fast-paced building services team, with opportunities to develop your skills across a varied portfolio of sites.
