Temporary Painter & Decorator
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm)
Pay: £16.45ph
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join one of our clients on a temporary basis for a minimum of two weeks. This role involves carrying out high-quality painting and decorating work across a varied portfolio of modern and historic buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, cleaning and priming.
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating to a high standard.
- Apply a range of finishes including emulsions, gloss, varnishes and specialist coatings.
- Wallpapering and decorative finishes where required.
- Undertake decorating work on both modern and heritage properties, following conservation requirements where applicable.
- Work safely and maintain clean, tidy work areas at all times.
- Liaise with other trades and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Experience working on both modern and older buildings.
- Strong surface preparation and finishing skills.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
- Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and working within older buildings.
