We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Learning to join the Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of alternative provision across West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about inclusive education, SEND, SEMH provision, and improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
The Role
- Provide strategic leadership across WSAPC's curriculum offer, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil achievement across all provisions.
- Lead curriculum development and quality of education across the college.
- Drive school improvement, inclusion, and staff development.
- Support and challenge senior and middle leaders to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Promote trauma-informed, relational, and inclusive practice across all settings.
- Oversee pupil progress, attendance, behaviour, and engagement strategies.
- Develop innovative and accessible curriculum pathways, including vocational provision.
- Work collaboratively with schools, external agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams.

- Holds QTS/QTLS and has successful senior leadership experience.
- Has a strong understanding of inclusive education practices.
