Grounds Maintenance Team Leader in Wisbech. Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Early Start (5:45am) £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Overtime.

If you’re someone who takes pride in transforming outdoor spaces and enjoys leading from the front, this role is built for you. We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Grounds Maintenance Technician to guide a small team delivering high-quality grounds services across a variety of client sites. This isn’t a desk job; you’ll be out in the field, setting standards, motivating your team, and making sure every site looks its absolute best.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading and organising a small team to deliver daily maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Working alongside your team setting the standard through your own work.
  • Maintaining landscapes to a high professional finish, including grass cutting, strimming, edging, and lawn care.
  • Hedge cutting, pruning, and weed control.
  • Litter picking and general site upkeep.
  • Operating machinery, including triple gang mowers.
  • Carrying out sports line marking when required.
  • Ensuring all work meets safety standards and company expectations.
  • Building positive, professional relationships with clients.
  • Managing tools, equipment, and daily paperwork accurately.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Trailer experience (required).
  • PA1 & PA6 certifications (required).
  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
  • Confidence operating triple gang mowers.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
  • A proactive, reliable attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
