We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established and growing team based in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a long-term role with a competitive salary, regular overtime opportunities, and a varied workload across commercial sites.
The Role You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing commercial gas systems and associated plant across a range of commercial properties throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The role includes planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault finding, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities Service and maintain commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on commercial gas plant.
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
Carry out gas safety inspections and ensure compliance with current Gas Safe regulations.
Complete job reports and certification accurately.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and site representatives.
Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota where required.
Requirements Current Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1 and relevant commercial gas modules).
Valid Gas Safe registration.
Previous experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
