We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef / Kitchen Supervisor to join our client’s busy workplace catering team. This role will support the Chef Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production while maintaining excellent food safety and health & safety standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of breakfast and lunch services, with occasional hospitality functions. You will also support the Chef Manager in team supervision and ensure smooth kitchen operations when covering in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily food preparation and cooking, primarily breakfast and lunch service
- Support occasional hospitality and working lunch events
- Deliver food production in line with company recipes, systems, and brand standards
- Learn and implement procedures for all kitchen tasks
- Assist with performance monitoring and record keeping for team members
- Contribute to menu planning to ensure the offer meets customer demand and profitability targets
- Handle and resolve customer feedback and complaints professionally
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and health & safety legislation
- Report incidents, near misses, or safety concerns to the Chef Manager
- Complete opening and closing shift checklists
- Build positive working relationships across the team
- Participate in relevant training and development activities
