We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Multi-skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business operating in a fast-paced production environment. This is a permanent back shift role, offering a consistent routine without nights or weekends – ideal for someone who prefers later starts and a structured working pattern. The role is mechanically biased, focusing on keeping production machinery running efficiently, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently
- Support breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Work on a variety of equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and general plant machinery
- Assist with basic electrical fault finding where required
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong mechanical maintenance background within manufacturing or production
- Multi-skilled mindset with basic electrical fault-finding ability
- Confident using a multi-meter and working safely around electrical systems
