We’re recruiting for a Repair & Calibration Technician to join a well-established engineering business in the Northampton area. This role is primarily focused on the calibration of specialist measurement gauges following a structured, process-driven approach. This role would suit someone who is comfortable working methodically and takes pride in accuracy and consistency. There will also be opportunities to support the mechanical assembly and repair workshop during busier periods bringing greater variety to your role.
You’ll be responsible for the inspection, repair, calibration and testing of specialist measurement equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Calibrating measurement gauges using laptop-based software and test jigs
- Following a defined calibration process, setting equipment into specific positions
- Identifying faults when units don’t perform as expected
- Carrying out repairs including:
- PCB replacement (basic soldering – not component-level)
- Mechanical repairs and adjustments
Full training will be provided on all company-specific equipment.
