Are you a Mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to work for a leading name in the manufacturing sector? Do you have strong fault-finding skills and experience maintaining industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment?
We are working with a highly respected manufacturer based in Northampton who are investing heavily in their engineering team. Due to growth and investment in new equipment, they are now seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site.
The Maintenance Engineer Role:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
- Mechanical work including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes
- Electrical fault finding on 3-phase systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and control panels
- Working within a small, skilled team across a range of automated production machinery
- Recording all maintenance activities using the CMMS
Requirements:
- Mechanical Bias with good electrical knowledge
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship trained ideal)
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Good mechanical knowledge: belts, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
- Electrical skills with the ability to fault find on PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Flexible and team-oriented with a proactive attitude to maintenance
