Shift: 4 on, 4 off rotational blocks, Days & Nights.

Salary: £39,500

As part of their ongoing growth, they now have an opportunity for an Extrusion Technical Supervisor to support the Production Team.

About the Role

Working closely with the Shift Manager, you will oversee the hour-by-hour operation of the extrusion department, ensuring your team's production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while promoting a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise extrusion production activities, including materials handling and granulation.
  • Ensure production lines operate efficiently while minimising waste and downtime.
  • Monitor product quality and carry out regular quality checks.
  • Support and supervise machine operators within the extrusion department.
  • Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate product and material changeovers with the Shift Manager.
  • Identify production issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards across the production floor.
  • Act as deputy for the Shift Manager when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving equipment, processes and materials.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience within an extrusion manufacturing environment (preferred) OR experience within injection moulding / blow moulding environments.
  • Experience supervising production teams or looking for the next step!
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to producing high-quality products while maintaining safety standards.
