Are you an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to work for a leading name in the manufacturing sector? Do you have strong fault-finding skills and experience maintaining industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment? We are working with a highly respected manufacturer based in Northampton who are investing heavily in their engineering team. Due to growth and investment in new equipment, they’re now seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site.

The Maintenance Engineer Role:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
  • Electrical fault finding on 3-phase systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and control panels
  • Mechanical work including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes
  • Working within a small, skilled team across a range of automated production machinery
  • Recording all maintenance activities using the CMMS

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship trained ideal)
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Electrical skills with the ability to fault find on PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Good mechanical knowledge – belts, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
  • Flexible and team-oriented with a proactive attitude to maintenance
