A growing electrical engineering manufacturer in West Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Inspector to join its on-site Quality team. This is a hands-on inspection role within a specialist manufacturing environment. You will play a key part in ensuring internally produced components and finished assemblies meet required standards, while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for inspecting goods, materials and processes across production. Your duties will include:
- Actively inspecting electrical and/or mechanical components from day one.
- Goods In, in-process and finished goods inspection.
- Product Process Audits (PPA).
- Managing and investigating internal non-conformances.
- Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assisting with ISO9001 internal audits.
- Maintaining quality documentation.
- Supporting calibration and verification activities.
Working hours are Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:00 and Friday 07:30-12:30.
The Candidate
- Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Inspection within manufacturing.
- Electrical or mechanical inspection experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
- Understanding of ISO9001 quality systems.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach.
