We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on developing integrated electro-mechanical control solutions. You'll play a key role in the design and development, working across the full product development lifecycle from concept through to validation and launch. As a Design Engineer, you will work within a collaborative engineering team delivering new product development and value engineering projects. You will contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of electromechanical and controls-based solutions, helping bring innovative products to market while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electromechanical products.
- Generate and present innovative design concepts, translating ideas into practical engineering solutions.
- Support multiple new product development and value engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
- Work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and sales teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide technical support for product-related enquiries and site-based issues.
- Produce and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and related engineering processes to ensure robust product design.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and performance evaluation activities.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Relevant Qualifications OR equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in electromechanical product design and development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as castings, machined components, and plastic mouldings.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo/Pro Engineer preferred, but open).
- Understanding of controls systems and integrated electromechanical solutions.
- Experience working within structured product development environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
