The Hillside is a charming, rustic pub situated in the historic Georgian village of Hillsborough, County Down, only 15 minutes drive from Belfast city centre.
The Hillside first opened its doors to patrons in 1752 and has been enjoying a busy trade ever since thanks to our excellent food and drinks selection and our friendly, welcoming service.
We are renowned for our roaring open fires in the winter and our pretty cobble stoned beer garden in the summer.
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join our team in The Hillside, Hillsborough!
The successful candidate will have demonstrated previous supervisory experience (at least 1 years) in a similar busy Restaurant environment, be able to lead and motivate a team, are customer focused and target driven.
They should also be able to implement initiatives to increase revenue and will also have a working knowledge of food and drink stocktakes.
This is a full time position rate of pay £13.57 per hour.

Essential Criteria
- Excellent customer care skills
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar supervisory role
- A proven track record of providing excellent customer care
- The ability to supervise a team of employees on a shift basis and delegate effectively
- Excellent Communication, Presentation and Interpersonal skills
- Effective Organisational Skills
- A good working knowledge of I. T Systems
- Ability to use own initiative
Desirable Criteria
- 2 years supervisor experience in a similar busy bar/restaurant
- NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality Supervisor & Leadership (or similar)
- Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene Certificate (must be current)
- First Aid Certificate (must be current)
