This is a great time to join The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Specialist Dietitian. We are currently redeveloping the hospital to provide a new, state-of-the-art facility supporting excellent healthcare for Hillingdon and beyond.
We seek a confident, motivated Dietitian to join our Dietetic and Speech Therapy Team. Our team includes 13 Dietitians, 9 Speech & Language Therapists, and 3 administrators.
The role involves providing high-quality, evidence-based dietetic services to paediatric inpatients and outpatients, including clinics and specialist areas such as neonatology, cystic fibrosis, and diabetes. You will be supported by a senior dietitian, supervise student dietitians, and participate in departmental projects and service improvements.

Job summary
To deliver a high-quality, evidence-based paediatric dietetic service, managing a defined caseload independently and maintaining accurate records.
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutrition and dietetic care within professional standards, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Work autonomously to offer nutrition advice and therapeutic support, involving complex information interpretation and goal setting.
- Manage outpatient clinics covering nutritional support, faltering growth, allergies, fussy eating, deficiencies, and general advice.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during meetings and ward rounds to advise on treatment and dietary management.
- Make recommendations regarding medication, supplements, and food modifications based on clinical and biochemical data.
- Support specialist areas under supervision, liaise with catering staff, and ensure safe discharge planning for patients on home enteral feeding.
