Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active, enthusiastic and motivated individual who will provide high quality administrative support for the provision of an effective, integrated and comprehensive recruitment and advisory service to join our medical staffing team. The Medical Staffing Team provide a professional and confidential HR service to all doctors in the Trust, supporting recruitment, Junior Doctors’ rotations, Medical Revalidation, appraisal and Job planning.

The Team are hybrid working and the post will require some office based working at Mount Vernon site, with working patterns that can be considered. The role may require some travel to various Trust sites. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about developing a career within the team and who is highly organised with close attention to detail, has good administrative skills and experience of working in a busy office, often to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • To work with the Medical Staffing Manager to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and customer focused medical staffing service to the Trust.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with Line Managers by providing advice and support on recruitment and selection processes, terms and conditions of employment (e.g. leave entitlements, starting salaries), policies (e.g. recruitment and selection policy) and Registration Authority matters.
  • To raise and discuss issues with the Medical Staffing Manager and Head of Medical Workforce to ensure consistency and best practice across the Trust.
  • To promote a professional image of the Trust at Corporate Induction and recruitment open days for directorate as required, planning recruitment campaigns where necessary.
  • To represent the People & Development Directorate at meetings on specific issues in relation to the role.
  • To take individual responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of communication with people and development colleagues.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience of office procedures with minimal supervision and the ability to prioritise work tasks.
  • Highly organised with close attention to detail and the ability to work in a busy office, often to tight deadlines.
  • Good administrative skills and experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; the role may require some travel and interaction with various Trust sites.
  • Willingness to engage with people, sociable and able to meet new contacts.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s Mount Vernon Hospital services include routine day surgery, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

We are focused on delivering high quality, safe and compassionate care while developing partnerships and improving services as part of the wider North West London Integrated care system, and building the new Hillingdon Hospital.
