The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

· To acquire data for Adult Critical Care data base by interrogating both paper and IT systems in order to extract relevant information on Adult Critical Care in accordance with data protection and confidentiality policies, taking all reasonable steps to follow up missing data.

· Enter and clean (for validation) clinical data onto the Adult Critical Care database.

· Collect, select, enter data onto the Critical Care Database ready for submission to ICNARC.

· Interrogate and undertake audits using the database as required.

· Ensure the collection and input of Adult Critical Care data meets the reporting deadlines required by the Case Mix Programme

· Maintain quality control of data entered onto the Adult Critical Care database.

· Investigate and correct coding errors promptly and efficiently, in order to maintain the data quality of data entered.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

We have over 3,500 members of staff that are proud to care for nearly half a million people, with a vision to be an outstanding provider of healthcare through leading health and academic partnerships, transforming services, to provide the best care where needed., · Provide an efficient data entry service to the Directorate organising own workloads and entering data entry to meet pre-determined deadlines.

· Implement and maintain high standards in quality control on data submitted for entry and data entered onto the database system in line with the information governance guidance.

· Ensure compliance with Trust protocols for data security, confidentiality, information governance and GDPR.

· To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and GDPR.

· Liaise with audit and nursing staff in other Critical Care units to ensure data is complete and accurate.

· Work closely with Information Department in developing future systems for Adult Critical Care data management, retrieval and report writing.

The post holder will be responsible for collating, monitoring and conducting analysis of all sources of data relating to Adult Critical Care activity. You will be responsible for entering information and ensuring that information entered into the audit system by others is accurate and complete. You will liaise with Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC) ensuring that data is submitted in a timely manner. You will assist in the production of the unit monthly reports and assist medical and nursing staff with extracting data from the audit system. You will liaise with the Trust Audit team and assist in the collection of internal and external audit data and projects. Assist staff undertaking audits and ensure that the audit database is up to date. Use the Incident Reporting System to extract information on incidents and identify themes and trends. You will attend appropriate Critical Care Meetings including the Divisional Governance Meeting as well

as any Network subgroup meetings.

The Hillingdon Hospital will use the information provided primarily for the purposes of managing your employment within the Trust.

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to be our Data and Audit Lead. The role involves collecting and validating data for submission to the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre. Writing reports, assisting with the extraction of data from the system, keeping a record of audits and producing monthly reports. You will also be required to attend and present at some of the unit and governance meetings. You will be required to work closely with data analysts across North West London as well as working with Business Intelligence and Divisional leads providing them with data. You will also work closely with the audit department providing them with data and ensuring that all audits are completed and action plans submitted.

You must be comfortable using computers and confident in the use of a variety of IT applications such as excel, word and power point.

We are inviting applications from individuals who have a proven background in healthcare either in an administrative, data or clinical role. Ideally you will have a working knowledge of critical care

Professional registration is desirable but not essential as this is a non clinical role.
