The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The post holder will participate in all Departmental activities as an effective team member, supporting the ED Matron and Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses in the effective running of the Emergency Department. The aim of this role is to ensure patients are seen, treated, discharged or transferred within the four hourly emergency access standards.

The post holder will assess care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. This role will also teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, and act as a role model to junior staff.

The post holder will take responsibility and accountability for a group of patients as well as take charge of the department when necessary. Assist with clinical duties in other areas of the Trust when the need arises. Assist with the monitoring of standards of care. Supervise and monitor the Emergency Department daily checklists.

Assist in the delivery/ transferring of critically ill patients to the imaging department and to other hospitals.
