Overview
These posts are Full Time 37.5 hours per week and you must be available to work all required shift patterns, including nights.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bevan Ward at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant. The post holder will provide patient-centred and compassionate care at all times and will work as a member of a team that delivers clinical care under the supervision of our registered nursing staff.
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that patients are cared for in a safe environment and that their privacy and dignity are maintained at all times. Good communication skills are essential for this post, as you will be required to provide verbal and written reports as part of your duties.

Responsibilities
- To assist the registered nurse / professional in the delivery of patient care.
- To communicate with patients, in such a way, that respects and takes into account the patient’s level of understanding.
- To assist with the preparation and delivery of meals and beverages, assisting patients as requested.
- Adhere to strict compliance with Trust Infection Control policies and procedures.
- To participate in the admission process of patients as directed by the registered nurse.
- To assist the registered nurse / professional in the delivery of patient care – pre, peri and post procedures, as required.
- To communicate effectively with patients / carers to ensure patients are kept well informed of any changes or delays to appointments / investigations.
- To be responsible for undertaking and recording blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, urine analysis, weight, height, reporting any abnormalities to the nurse / professional in charge.
