Role Overview
As a Steel Detailer, you'll work closely with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to produce accurate and efficient 3D models and 2D drawings using Tekla Structures. You'll play a key part in delivering high-quality steel detailing packages across a variety of large-scale structural projects.
Positions are available from junior to senior levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings in Tekla Structures
- Prepare GA drawings, connection details, and material lists
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist in the checking and QA of drawings and models
- Maintain drawing records and ensure work is delivered on time and to standard
- Support junior team members (senior roles only)
Requirements
Essential:
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures - 8 years plus
- Understanding of structural steelwork fabrication and erection processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
