An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of key commercial workstreams across a range of construction and structural steel projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being closely involved in project delivery and making a real impact on commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing valuations, variations, and applications for payment
- Preparing commercial reports, forecasts, and CVRs
- Supporting procurement, tendering, and subcontractor management
- Maintaining strong cost control and commercial governance
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and project stakeholders
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction (steel experience beneficial)
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
What to expect
- First Month: You’ll get involved in live projects, reviewing commercial data, visiting sites, and gaining a clear understanding of project delivery from fabrication through to installation.
- 3 Months: You’ll take ownership of key commercial workstreams, run meetings, and build strong relationships with internal teams and clients.
- 6 Months: You’ll independently manage the commercial lifecycle of project packages and help identify opportunities for improvement.
- 12 Months: You’ll be a trusted commercial lead, helping drive strong commercial performance and continuous improvement across projects.
