A leading civil engineering contractor is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a new National Grid substation project in Suffolk. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will take full responsibility for overseeing all construction activities associated with this major infrastructure scheme, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and manage project delivery teams across all phases of construction
  • Oversee programme delivery, commercial performance and operational activities
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, designers and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and company procedures
  • Manage procurement of materials, plant and subcontractors to meet programme targets
  • Review incidents, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement
  • Support BIM implementation and understand its value within project delivery
  • Mitigate risks relating to design, construction and contractual issues
  • Act as the senior site representative and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • CSCS Card
  • Proven experience delivering major infrastructure projects
