We're working with a leading piling and ground engineering contractor who are looking to strengthen their estimating function with the appointment of an Estimating Manager and experienced Piling Estimators. These roles suit technically strong professionals with a background in piling design and ground engineering, where estimating and design are closely aligned.
The Role
- Preparation of tender designs and estimates for piled retaining walls and soil nailed slopes
- Ensuring tenders are produced in line with client requirements and internal procedures
- Securing profitable, strategically aligned work
- Supporting and developing client relationships from enquiry through to order and beyond
- Working closely with technical, commercial and delivery teams
- Senior appointments will also involve oversight of workload, mentoring, and contributing to estimating strategy.
About You
- Technically strong with a design-led background in piling or geotechnical engineering
- Customer-focused and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working under pressure
- Strong communicator and team player
- Confident working to current design standards and codes of practice
- Willing to travel across the UK for meetings and site visits
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK clean driving licence
- Minimum 3 years' experience in ground engineering / geotechnical / ground investigation
- Minimum 3 years' relevant design experience
- Strong understanding of geotechnical design standards and execution of specialist works
