Foreman - Civils / Construction / Energy
Location: Suffolk / Norwich / Bury St Edmunds
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman to join our team, covering projects across Suffolk, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds.
We are looking for a capable and experienced site professional with the confidence to supervise teams, coordinate subcontractors and oversee the day-to-day delivery of works on site.
Candidates with a background in civil engineering, building/construction, energy or utilities are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
- Manage day-to-day site activities and ensure works progress to programme.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress and productivity on site.
- Work closely with the Site Manager and wider project team.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications and site documentation.
- Identify and report any issues affecting programme, quality or safety.
- Ensure company and health & safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation.
About You
The successful Foreman will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar.
- Experience within civils, construction, building, energy or utilities.
- Proven experience supervising site teams and subcontractors.
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- The ability to organise and prioritise site activities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to site management.
- The ability to work to deadlines and project programmes.
- Flexibility to work across the Suffolk, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds region.
