We are working with a highly respected steel and architectural metalwork contractor in Buckinghamshire who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, long-standing company delivering structural steel and bespoke metalwork packages across commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
The Role:
- Preparing detailed and competitive estimates for structural steel and metalwork packages
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Conducting material take-offs and labour cost assessments
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations
- Supporting the handover to commercial and project delivery teams
About You:
- Previous estimating experience within steel, metalwork, or a related construction discipline
- Strong technical understanding and ability to read drawings
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Organised, proactive, and confident communicator
- Exposure to the commercial side of projects - including cost control, procurement, contract awareness, or supporting QS teams - would be a serious advantage.
