We are working with a well-established and reputable steel construction company seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to support both office operations and live project sites. This is a key role focused on driving high standards across Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance within a fast-paced project environment.
The Role
- Lead and manage all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental activities across the business
- Ensure compliance with current legislation, company procedures, and industry standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across live projects
- Review and support the preparation of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
- Complete and manage environmental documentation, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and project requirements
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Promote a strong health & safety culture across both site and office teams
- Maintain and improve HSQE systems, policies, and procedures
- Support project teams with best practice and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required
About You
- Proven experience in a HSQE role within construction or structural steel (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety and environmental legislation
- Experience producing and managing environmental documentation (essential)
- Experience carrying out site audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Confident working across both office and site environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
