The Hidden Garden is a growing outdoor wellness, hospitality and events venue in Warrenpoint.
Our offering includes shared sauna and cold-water experiences, private and group bookings, sports-team recovery sessions, a café, campervan stays and a growing programme of seasonal and special events.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and energetic Venue & Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to‑day operation of The Hidden Garden.
The Role
This is a hands‑on management position with significant responsibility and autonomy.
You will be responsible for ensuring The Hidden Garden runs efficiently, safely and to a consistently high standard — managing the team, customer experience, bookings, events and general operation of the venue.
Working directly with the owner, your role will be to take responsibility for the daily running of the business, allowing the owner to focus on growth, development and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation of the venue.
- Manage staff rotas, holidays, shift cover, training and performance.
- Ensure consistently high standards of customer service, cleanliness and venue presentation.
- Oversee sauna, cold‑water and other wellness operations.
- Coordinate group, corporate and sports-team bookings.
- Manage campervan guests and associated facilities.
- Oversee café operations, stock levels, ordering and wastage.
- Plan and deliver seasonal events, private events and special experiences.
- Coordinate event staffing, setup, suppliers, customer flow and breakdown.
- Manage customer enquiries, feedback and any issues that arise.
- Monitor bookings, memberships, revenue and staffing costs.
- Identify opportunities to increase bookings, memberships and customer spend.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and external partners.
- Ensure appropriate health & safety procedures and operational standards are maintained.
- Report directly to the owner on weekly performance, staffing, upcoming events and operational priorities.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership rather than simply following instructions.
You will ideally have management or supervisory experience within hospitality, hotels, leisure, fitness, events, tourism or a similar customer‑facing business.
You should be:
- A confident and capable people manager.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing several things at once.
- Commercially minded and interested in growing revenue as well as running operations.
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently.
- Excellent with customers and able to maintain high service standards.
- Experienced in managing staff and rotas.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑growing business where no two days are exactly the same.
- Willing to work a flexible rota including some evenings and weekends.
- Enthusiastic about wellness, hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences.
Previous experience in the wellness industry is not essential. We are more interested in finding an excellent operator with the right attitude and management ability.
This is a full‑time position, approximately 40 hours across five days per week.
As a seven‑day hospitality and events business, the role will include a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend work, with the manager’s rota structured around the busiest periods and major events.
Why Join The Hidden Garden?
This isn’t a traditional hospitality management position.
The Hidden Garden is an independent and growing business, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take real ownership of the operation and help shape its next stage of growth.
We want someone who can ultimately make The Hidden Garden run exceptionally well without the owner needing to be there every day.
