The HICA Group have a fantastic opportunity available for a Support Worker to join our expanding team of Care professionals at our learning disability home in Brigg, The Birches. The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Pay & Hours

  • £13.70 per hour
  • Various hours available
  • Nights Shift Pattern - Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)

The Role

  • Assisting with a variety of care needs and enabling our service users to live fulfilling lives, including:
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
  • Assist with preparing meals and drinks to better our residents' overall nutrition.
  • Participate in and support activities for our residents
  • Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair
  • Observe and record clients' physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes.
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with families
  • Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns
  • Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life

About us

The Birches provides accommodation and support for people who live with a learning disability and associated support needs. It compromises of 4 accessible bungalows and 2 flats providing accommodation for up to 31 individuals aged from 18 years. The HICA Group is a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community. HICA is proud to be a Veterans Friendly Framework (VFF) accredited organisation and is committed to the Armed Forces Covenant and its values.
