Sr. Finance Analyst – Europe (Interim – 3 months contractor)

(based in London, UK)

Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for all customer and brand reporting & analysis for the assigned business unit (UK & I), including distributor commercial partnerships, claims, P&L analysis by customer, brand, channel, SKU, and aligning actions with the cross-functional team in line with commercial strategy and profitability benchmarks. Works closely with UK & I Commercial Leadership to deliver KPIs; supports pricing and innovation evaluations, including ROI assessments for investments.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Summary of major duties:

• Owns business unit’s P&L by customer and by brand, providing insights and action points. Collaborates with sales and brand managers to improve margins and optimize trade promotions and brand investments.
• Oversees monthly accrual submissions to ensure proper cutoff and budget control; leads pricing strategy for the business unit.
• Prepares analysis and financials for review, including presentation slides for EU Leadership Team.
• Supports portfolio and pricing decisions by maintaining the pricing template and updating the price list based on latest margin structures and costs.
• Supports P&L simulations for new innovations and seasonal portfolios, assessing profitability and viability.
• Analyzes profitability of trade promotions and marketing activities, advising on investment focus; contributes to margin expansion initiatives via SRGM and CI.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor\’s/Master\’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or relevant professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CA).
• Experience: 4-7 years in a Commercial or Business Finance role; FMCG/Food industry experience is advantageous.
