Here at the Hereford Academy we serve the community located to the south of the river Wye in the beautiful city of Hereford.

We cater for students aged 11 to 16, striving to provide the best possible education and equip all our students to be well rounded and caring citizens who will make a positive contribution to society.

We are part of the Diocese of Hereford Multi‑Academy Trust, which stretches from the foot of Eastnor castle to the Shropshire Hills, from the Welsh border to the threshold of the Malvern Hills.

The Trust is a family of 15 wonderful schools which are spread out across the Diocese of Hereford (Herefordshire, South Shropshire and Worcestershire).

We currently have a group of dedicated Invigilators and are looking to recruit additional members to join the team due to our increasing student numbers.

The post is on a casual basis invigilating GCSE and mock exams and generally helping to support students through the provision, supervision and monitoring of internal and external exams.

External examinations take place predominantly in May and June each year, but mocks take place in the Autumn and Spring terms as needed.

We are looking for individuals who can promote a supportive atmosphere for our students so that they achieve their best.

We are looking for individuals who can be flexible, patient and are able to stand for periods of time.

This is a great opportunity for those with good communication skills, an observant eye and excellent attention to detail.

Successful applicants will need to work effectively in a busy environment and will be responsible for the smooth, secure running of allocated exam sessions, working under the direction of our Examinations Officer.

Applicants will assist with the preparation of the exam rooms, distribution and collection of exam papers, the timing of exams, supervising the examinations and assisting students with additional needs.

Applicants will ensure that Examination Board and JCQ Regulations are adhered to at all times.

Previous experience of working in a secondary school or with young people is desirable but not essential.

Full training for the role will be given.

The Trust and school are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all shortlisted applicants must be prepared to undergo a number of checks to confirm their suitability to work with children and young people, in accordance with the Df E’s “Keeping Children Safe in Education”.

An enhanced DBS will be required for this role.

The Trust welcomes applications from all sectors of the Community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
