Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Electronic Engineering Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across our BTEC and T Level Engineering programmes. The successful candidate will bring strong subject expertise, practical industry experience, and a genuine passion for inspiring the next generation of engineers.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for BTEC and T Level Engineering courses.
- Teach a variety of units, including health and safety, Electronics and Mechatronics, Circuit Boards, Quality Management in Engineering, Engineering Projects, and any other electronic related units and practical workshop skills.
- Support students in developing both theoretical understanding and practical technical skills.
- Track student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and contribute to internal and external assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high standards and meet curriculum and awarding‐body requirements.
- Keep up-to‐date with current industry practices and evolving qualification standards.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant Degree
- Teaching qualification (or working towards a full teaching qualification)
- Teaching experience (or professional work experience)
- Experience of teaching the specified subject(s) or course(s)
- Commitment to active and student‐centred learning
- Commitment to keeping up‐to‐date with educational developments affecting the work of the College and the subject/course areas covered by the post
- Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
- Well‐developed organisational skills
- To work collaboratively with a committed team of teachers and support staff
Desirable
- Previous experience of providing tutorial support to students
