The Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor will lead and manage the Maintenance Department, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations across both the Grassington and Keighley sites. The role involves supervising staff, planning and scheduling maintenance activities, and supporting the Engineering & Maintenance Manager in maintaining operational excellence.

Location: Grassington and Keighley sites

Salary: £55,000 per annum (for the right candidate)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00 (1-hour break). Occasional Saturdays may be required.

Reporting To: Engineering & Maintenance Manager

Position: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the workload of the maintenance team, planning daily tasks for engineers.
  • Schedule and prioritize both planned and unplanned maintenance activities to align with production shifts.
  • Ensure all necessary parts and resources are available for maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and update the maintenance job system accurately, confirming completion and equipment safety.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces across all maintenance areas.
  • Ensure full compliance with company procedures and standards within the Engineering Department.
  • Ensure all department staff are trained and competent to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and improving maintenance procedures for factory and farm operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, or arrange and oversee repairs as required.
  • Support planning and management of installation activities.
  • Liaise with engineering suppliers and service providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain safe, efficient site operations.
  • Deputize for the Engineering & Maintenance Manager as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial or production environments.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
